Arrival in Entebbe
Meet your driver at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest after your flight and receive a briefing about the journey, trekking preparation and the route to southwestern Uganda.

Entebbe · Equator region · Bwindi
Journey to Bwindi
Travel southwest through rural landscapes, with comfort stops and a break near the Equator where timing allows. Continue into the Kigezi highlands and check in at your selected lodge near the Bwindi trekking sector.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Mountain-gorilla trekking
After an early breakfast, attend the park briefing and set out with authorised trackers and guides to look for a habituated mountain-gorilla family. The trek can be strenuous and its duration varies with the location of the gorillas. Return to the lodge to rest after the experience.

Bwindi and nearby communities
Bwindi at a gentler pace
Enjoy a slower day. Depending on your interests and the lodge location, choose a guided forest walk, birding, a community visit arranged with local hosts, or time to relax and take in the forest views.

Bwindi · Lake Bunyonyi
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Drive through the highlands to Lake Bunyonyi. Spend the afternoon enjoying the lakeside setting, with an optional guided canoe excursion or time at the lodge.

Lake Bunyonyi · Entebbe
Return to Entebbe
After breakfast, begin the return journey to Entebbe. The drive is long, so we will plan comfort stops and confirm whether an additional overnight stay or a domestic flight is more suitable for your onward flight time.
